Her Story
Heidi graduated from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in 2017 with a diverse interest and skill set in massage. Initially she wanted to work solely in geriatric and palliative care, but with careful consideration she entered into a more multi-faceted work environment. Finding specific interest with jaw, sports treatments, headaches, and concussion treatments; Heidi has completed continuing education courses for Jaw dysfunction/ TMJ issues and functional movement therapy.

Heidi has been passionate about movement and the outdoors from an early age. Soccer being her main sport in her youth; her adulthood has been centred around connecting with the outdoors and adventure sports. You'll see her out at Jordan River in the surf or up island volunteering for Mt Cain ski patrol in her spare time. Her fascination with seaweed started when she became a sea kayak guide while living in Tofino. She viewed profound beauty while on the water and the loved the habitat, shelter, and life seaweed creates. It's ability to hold strong and sway with the storm and let go when its ready is the inspiration for the name of her business. Alaria Therapeutics.
